Makeup should enhance your features, not change them.

The golden rule
Every product has a purpose.
I don’t apply more makeup than necessary. Every step contributes to the final result.
Consultation + skin analysis.
Before you begin, assess:
- Skin type, texture and hydration
- Any skin concerns
- Preferred coverage, style and finish
- The occasion
Cleanse + prep.
My secret: customised skin prep, not excessive layering.

Prime strategically.
- Not every face needs a full layer of primer
- Choose primer for the skin type, foundation and conditions
- Example: oil control on the T-zone only, cheeks left radiant
- Let skincare settle before foundation
The complexion.
Thin layers. Build only where needed.

Correct + conceal.
Colour correction is one of the most underrated skills in makeup.

Cream contour + bronzer.
Soft definition, not harsh lines. Cheekbones and temples, to suit the face shape.

Cream + liquid blush.
Place it high to lift the face. Rose, peach and soft pink, built gradually.

Set the complexion.
Set where it’s needed. Press, don’t sweep.

Powder bronzer + blush.
Lightly reinforce the creams to refine, add dimension and last longer.

My signature eyes.
Soft blending + precise definition.

Brows.
- Frame the face, don’t overpower it
- Work with the natural shape
- Light, hair-like strokes in sparse areas
- Avoid dark or blocky brows
Lashes + mascara.
One lash style doesn’t suit everyone.

Lips.
My signature: a polished nude-pink lip, satin or glossy.

Set + final check.
- Check the full face in good lighting
- Look for edges, excess powder and uneven blending
As beautiful at the end of the celebration as when it left the chair.

A glowing base that lasts
The secret isn’t more product.
It’s the right products, in the right order, in the right amounts.
Prepping different skin types
Every skin is different.
- Dry: hydration first, less powder, thin layers
- Oily: lightweight skincare, strategic priming and setting
- Mature: hydrate, light coverage, minimal powder on fine lines
- Textured: thin layers, no highlighter on raised areas
My tear-proof bridal secrets
Made to last all day.
- Correct skin prep
- Thin layers of foundation
- Strategic powder placement
- Waterproof eye products
- Careful layering of cream and powder
- Proper setting, letting each layer settle
- Lash adhesive fully set
- Teach brides to blot tears, never rub
Products, simplified
You don’t need everything. Just the right things.
Product knowledge matters more than brand prestige.
Where to invest vs save
Invest
- Foundation and complexion
- Professional brushes
- Long-wear eye products
- Hygiene and kit essentials
- Reliable setting products
Save
- Neutral eyeshadow palettes
- Lip liners and glosses
- Mascara (with disposable wands)
- Some blushes and bronzers
- Accessories and storage
Budget-friendly products to try

What’s a waste of money
Choose for performance.
Versatility and your clients’ needs come first.
- Viral primers that don’t suit your foundation
- Huge palettes full of shades you never use
- Lots of nearly identical nude lipsticks
- Too much skincare layered under makeup
- Full foundation ranges before you know shade mixing
- Expensive brushes bought for the brand name
- Trend products that don’t perform on clients
Common mistakes to avoid
Placement over product.
Over-prepping the skin
Too much foundation
Wrong colour match
Too much concealer
Over-powdering
Poor blending
Ignoring eye shape
Lashes that overwhelm
Not designing for longevity
